This guide book is for for the woman who is having difficulty in her sex life or any other daily activities, due to pelvic, bladder, or vulvar pain (also called vulvodynia).

You should read this e-book if you:
  • Have pain with sexual intercourse, use of tampons, or gynecologic exams, or are unable to do any of these things because of pain.
  • Feel excessive tension or tightness in your pelvic floor muscles - those muscles surrounding your vagina - that makes penetration difficult or impossible.
  • Have pain in your vulva or other parts of your pelvis that gets worse when you sit, or when you walk.
  • Have pain in your bladder that makes you need to urinate quite frequently, and may wake you up repeatedly at night.
  • Have been told by one or more doctors that everything looks fine, but you know that something is not fine.
  • Do not want to rely on pain medication and are ready to get to the root cause of the problem.

Whether you have suffered with this problem for a few weeks, months, or years, I have treated many women just like you. I understand how frustrating it is to not be able to get straight answers from doctors, or to be told that you will just have to live with it. Or worse yet,
being told to "just relax," and being treated as though it is all in your head. I KNOW that it is not in your head.

That is why I have written this e-book, to provide you with valuable information to start feeling better right away. I want to provide you with the best information possible to get you on the road toward resuming all of what you want to do in life.

While I can’t promise you that these tips - that have worked for most of my clients since 2005 - will work for you, it is certainly better than spending another day putting up with pain, avoiding activities that you love, or relying on pain medication.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re quite young, are raising your kids, have no kids, or have kids that are long since out of the house. It doesn’t matter whether you are a high level athlete or whether you get very little routine exercise.

If you are experiencing pelvic pain or vulvodynia (which is a fancy word for pain in your vulva!), you can download this e-book right now. (If you have an urgent need, please call us at 858-746-9782.)

Here’s to getting back to your healthy, active lifestyle!

Abigail, 39, Poway

“Ever since I had my second baby, I realized that my stomach and pelvic muscles were just not what they used to be, and I had been having trouble controlling my bladder. I was afraid to be out in public without knowing where the restroom was, and I drank less water than I wanted to for fear of having leaks when I sneezed, or not making it to the restroom in time. When I went to see Debbie, she was able to guide me through the right plan customized just for me to get rid of my leaking problem in just a few weeks. I feel more energetic than I have in years, and my back pain is gone too.”

Naomi, 55, Ramona

“When I first called Fundamental Physical Therapy, I had been suffering with pelvic pain for over 4 years, after a fall on my tailbone. The pain made it difficult to sit, exercise, do my daily tasks at work and at home, use the bathroom normally, and worst of all, I was unable to be intimate with my husband. It took some time for me to get up the nerve to get help, and even then, I was worried about what the therapy would involve. I am so glad that I finally did it, and only wish I hadn’t waited so long. Debbie is so kind and professional! Typically the type of stuff I went through would have been uncomfortable but she made it easy and educational. Now I am able to do everything that I want to do and I feel like I have a new lease on life! Thank you for all of your help and sensitive care.”
